Having oily hair is a struggle sometimes… Try these Tips to help you fix your oily locks.

When you’re constantly trying to find ways to make your hair look less greasy it can get frustrating.

We have been in the same boat and we decided to try out a few tactics ourselves to see which ones work!

The first tip is to make sure you are applying your conditioner from mid-shaft to your ends. Applying the conditioner from root to end will weigh down your hair causing oily hair.

The second tip is to use baby powder! If you don’t have time to run to the store and get dry shampoo, this is a great alternative. If you have darker hair and don’t want the possibility of having a white cast on the top of your head, you can swap out the baby powder for some bronzer. Just make sure not to apply too much bronzer or baby powder and you will be good to go!

The third tip is to wash less often. We know this sounds kind of weird, but in reality if the scalp is constantly being stripped of oils, the scalp will work extra hard to replace them. This causes oils to build up faster than necessary. If you are washing everyday try to wash every other day and get your days of washing down to every three days!

The fourth tip is try to not touch or play with your hair all the time! This is a bad habit for many. It’s so easy to mindlessly grab or tousle your hair throughout the day, but don’t! Make yourself aware of when you touch your hair and limit it.

The last and final tip is to balance your brushing. Brushing your hair allows you to distribute the oils all the way to the ends of your hair. But be aware! If you brush too much you can end up stimulating oil production, which can increase the grease! Essentially you want to find a happy medium when brushing your hair throughout the day.
