How-To: Super Easy Bubble Ponytail Tutorials

Looking for the perfect summer hairstyle that is quick and easy but still high on glam? Bubble ponytails are this year’s hottest look that takes the heat index off the charts. Braids are gorgeous but sometimes you want a style that can be done in minutes. Bubble ponytails are super sexy and the trick to achieving the perfect BPT is by using ultra long clip-in extensions for added length and volume. We have TWO easy how-to tutorials by celeb stylists with their pro tips to create gorgeous bubble ponytails: curves ahead!

STEP BY STEP BUBBLE PONYTAIL TUTORIAL BY STYLIST EMMA WILLIS

PONY BREAKDOWN:

PREP: Apply @dphue The Blonding Brush (heat activated highlighter) to all the front areas of hair which frame the face and add some heat.

STEP 1: Part the hair and create a tiny pony tail on the crown of the head (leaving the majority of hair all around the hair line free & loose) this will be the base that you will then secure your clip-in hair extensions. I used 22 inch @HiddenCrownHair ones.

STEP 2: Wrap around the small secured tiny ponytail a 3 piece clip-in extension - remember you want this to be long 22 / 24 inches as each bubble with the teasing you do will only decrease the length by an inch - it also depends on how many bubbles you want in your pony too!

STEP 3: Pull ALL the rest of the hair up to create that high pony thus hiding the base of the extensions - so now all the hair is up in one high ponytail

STEP 4: Section out and start to tease at the roots building up to 3/4 inches moulding into a bubble shape as desired depending on how big you want your bubbles spritzing each piece as you go with @amika un.done texture spray and top / outer pieces with a little Star Glow Styling Wax by @oribe secure Ito your finished bubble with a clear small plastic band

STEP 5: Repeat above according to how many bubbles you want in the ponytail

STEP 6: Finish with a spritz of @ogx_beauty Multi-Benefit Hairspray

1. Remove rollers & Pull back the front section
2. create a ponytail at the crown

4. add elastics 2 to 3 inches apart down the ponytail
